Goshen Academy is a 36-week cooperative for homeschooling families with students in kindergarten through 12th grade. Families teach core subjects at home, while scholars connect online twice a week for discipleship, group instruction, and practical life skills.

How the cooperative works
Home-based learning with a connected Christian community.
Goshen Academy supplements—not replaces—each family’s homeschool. Parents remain responsible for their scholar’s primary education and receive the encouragement of a consistent virtual community.
Families lead at home
On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, parents or guardians teach core subjects such as math and language arts using their chosen homeschool curriculum.
Scholars connect online
On Tuesdays and Thursdays, students join live Google Meet sessions for discipleship and age-appropriate group instruction.
Teachers serve by grade band
Two cooperating teachers support each virtual classroom: K–3, grades 4–6, and grades 7–12.
Families grow in community
Scholars build relationships across locations, and the co-op closes the year with an in-person celebration when scheduled.
Important: Goshen Academy is a homeschool cooperative, not a public or private school. Each participating family is responsible for following the homeschool laws and reporting requirements of its home state.

In Scripture, Goshen was a place set apart—a place where God’s people experienced His presence, peace, protection, and provision. The name is associated with drawing near.
Goshen is more than our name; it represents our mission. We create a Christ-centered environment where students and families are nurtured academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally through faith, discipleship, community, and learning.

What new families usually want to know.
Is Goshen Academy a school?
No. Goshen Academy is a virtual homeschool cooperative that adds live instruction, discipleship, relationships, and support to a family-led homeschool.
Who can participate?
The program serves homeschool students in kindergarten through 12th grade. Because meetings are virtual, families may participate from different states, subject to grade-level availability.
What do parents teach?
Families provide their scholar’s primary education, including core subjects such as math and language arts. Goshen’s group learning focuses on discipleship, history or science, and financial literacy for older scholars.
When and where do students meet?
Students meet live online through Google Meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Times on this page are listed in Central Time.
Does submitting the form guarantee enrollment?
No. The interest form begins the conversation. The team will follow up to discuss your family, grade-level availability, expectations, and next steps.
What technology does my scholar need?
Each scholar should have reliable internet, a computer or Chromebook, a working camera, and a headset with microphone for live participation.
